THESIS
The Huns were successful warriors because of their ability to use mobility in the art of war. Their geographic surroundings helped make them expert horsemen. Their development of a special bow that could be used in their battles helped give them an advantage against Roman and Gaulish troops that were not as mobile and were easy targets. The Huns horses were able to adapt to many environments because of their adaptation to extreme temperature swings as would happen on the Mongolian steppes, where they originated. The geography also was a factor in the Huns nomadic way of life, which allowed the Huns to be self sufficient and eliminated long supply lines that would be vulnerable to attack.
